A European import brought to the United States through the Von der Obersten program, Rumpi carried the substance, head type, and working character that define correct European Rottweiler stock. Though he has since passed, his bloodline lives on at Crosspoint — a planned breeding to Mila is set for late fall 2026 using previously secured frozen semen.

Legacy Sire — Frozen Semen
Rumpi was not owned by Crosspoint Rottweilers. He was strategically chosen as a foundational stud in our program — a sire whose immense size, heavy bone, and rock-steady temperament we deemed worthy of anchoring the generations to come.
We are forever grateful to Ruben Rodriguez for his friendship, his trust, and for granting Crosspoint Rottweilers the privilege of using Rumpi to strengthen and further our program. His generosity lives on in every dog that carries this line — a debt of gratitude we will always carry forward.
November 2018 — Forever Part of the Crosspoint Line
Rumpi was a sire of rare influence — known for producing large, powerful Rottweilers with exceptional heads, heavy bone, and correct structure, all carried on the balanced, rock-steady temperament that defines the breed at its best.
Though he is no longer with us, his stamp endures in every dog he produced — and in the generations still to come. His legacy lives on at Crosspoint.
Rumpi was imported from Europe, bringing established European bloodline into the Crosspoint program — a line selected for substance, type, and consistent production.
Rumpi traces to the vom Beni line of Serbia, with roots in the former Yugoslavia through his granddam, Dina vom Beni. His pedigree is deliberately tight — his sire, Neron vom Beni, and his dam, Pepa vom Beni, are both sired by Arlos Majestic Rott. That line breeding concentrated the size, heavy bone, and powerful head type that became Rumpi's signature as a producer.
Rumpi was known above all for his size and head — a large, powerful dog with the heavy bone and substance of well-bred European stock, a strong topline, and correct angulation. His head was broad, masculine, and typey, with proper stop, strong underjaw, and rich pigmentation.
Movement under load was powerful and efficient, and his overall type embodied the standard our program is built around.
Confident and composed under pressure, Rumpi carried the balanced, stable temperament the breed is meant to have — clear-headed, sound, and steady. Just as importantly, he passed that temperament on, stamping it consistently across his offspring.
It is that rare combination — tremendous size and bone paired with a genuinely balanced mind — that made him such a valued producer.
All breeding dogs at Crosspoint undergo comprehensive health screening before entering the program. Rumpi tested HD Free on hips, with clear and normal results across the remaining panels — his documented clearances are below.
Full health documentation is available upon request during the inquiry process.

Rumpi built his reputation as a producer — consistently stamping his offspring with exceptional size, heavy bone, correct structure, robust head type, and a balanced, stable temperament. Those are the exact traits the Crosspoint program exists to protect and advance.
He is also the grandsire of our foundation female, Mila. Carried out through frozen semen secured before his passing, the planned late-2026 breeding is a purposeful, carefully considered line breeding — designed to concentrate and preserve his outstanding genetics for size, bone, structure, temperament, and head type in the generations to come.
